Oscar Night was beautiful – there were no homemade dresses (Demi wore one years ago – looked like hotpants with a train) and there was a nice variety of styles and colors. Black Gowns didn’t steal the show. I really enjoyed the different renditions of ruffles – lots and lots of different ruffles. I love ruffles.
I think Demi Moore was the best dressed for the evening. The dress was beautiful, sexy, feminine and ruffled. The shoes were perfectly matched and sexy – I want a pair.
There was a lot of talk about Zoe Saldana’s dress – went from silver to black. I still haven’t decided if I like the dress, however, I do know that the suede shoes she wore with the dress didn’t help (but I LOVED the shoes).

Well, I thought the Elizabeth Hasselbeck Beige, Peep-Toe Pumps were done. Elizabeth Hasselbeck got a new shoe wardrobe for (I am guessing) Christmas and has delighted us with wearing different shoes on the show. In fact, for a moment I thought we weren’t going to see the Beige, Peep-Toe Pumps again. Doesn’t look like that is going to be the case – this is the second wearing in the past 30 days.
Another one of her favorite footwear selections in 2009 was a pair of beat-up flat brown knee high boots. It looks like the brown beat-up boots may have been retired – the new wardrobe has a pair of high-heel boots in the same shade of brown – YEAH! At least the Beige, Peep-Toe Pumps aren’t beat-up.
Have you noticed that Whoopi Goldberg mostly wears white cotton blouses on the show every day. I noticed it a while ago and since I don’t wear white cotton blouses at all, I found it to be interesting. Well today, she has on some gray thing with a boat neck collar that looks absolutely HORRIBLE! Whoopi Goldberg – PLEASE go back to your white cotton blouses.
Yes, for me, sometimes the best part of the show turns out to be the shoes and the fashion!
