A beautiful yellow pair of Stuart Weitzman designer shoes provided the inspiration for the creation of Heel Shields!  I scoured the City of Chicago trying to find a pair of this yellow shoe in my size.  When I finally found a pair – I didn’t wear them right away.  Noooo, I saved them for a special occasion.

When I exited my car, the first thing that was said to me was:  “what is that black stuff on the back of your shoe.”  This was my first experience with BLACK HEEL.  (BLACK HEEL is the syndrome caused by unprotected driving).

BLACK HEEL looks like a bumpy black spot – the original leather finished is scrapped off and the underlying skin is blacken by the dirt, sand, rock and other debris that gathers on the car mat where the driver rests their foot.    Once the shoe is damaged in this fashion – the shoe cannot be repaired.  That is why Heel Shields were invented – NO MORE BLACK HEEL!

Drivers have tried lots of ways to protect their shoes and prevent the dirty shoe drama of BLACK HEEL.  Many inventors before me have tried to develop a shoe protection device as effective and easy to use as the Heel Shield.   However, none of the other models of shoe protection products have been easy to use, work for men and women’s shoes, boots and athletic shoes and been effective until now.   The Heel Shield will protect most of your shoes easily – slip it on prior to driving and slip it off prior to exiting your car.

And, the shoe destruction problem is even worse during the winter months when car mats are wet from snow. In the winter, car mats become soaked with melted snow and salt. Drivers use towels or other items to provide a protective barrier between their shoes and the car mats. However, The Heel Shield provides the perfect barrier protecting your footwear from scuffing and staining.  Unlike some new products on the market that snap around your ankle, car mats on towels used to soak up the water, Heel Shields won’t become wet and your shoes (and pant leg) will stay nice and dry.

Sure drivers can keep an extra pair of driving shoes in the car, but this is a very inconvenient method for combating the problem. In fact in the winter months, changing shoes in a cold car can be rather uncomfortable. Additionally, the driver who is in and out of their car multiple times per day  (i.e., sales representatives, and real estate professionals, etc.) would find changing shoes for every trip to be quite a nuisance.  The Heel Shield eliminates the need for changing shoes – just slide The Shield on prior to driving and remove The Heel Shield at the destination.

It takes two seconds to use a Heel Shield – (second-1) slide the Heel Shield on the shoe and (second-2) DRIVE!

Drivers also press their heels into their car mats to keep from damaging their shoes.  This causes holes in the car mats where the heels are pressed down.  When using The Heel Shield, drivers are able to lay their foot down on The Heel Shield and save their shoes and car mats.  Leave The Heel Shield in the car ready to use.  The same Heel Shield will work on her shoes as well as his.

Some drivers drive barefoot to protect their shoes.  Driving barefoot will protect the outside of the shoe; however, it will cause damage to the inside of the shoe.  The Heel Shield eliminates the need to drive barefoot.  (And, if you insist on driving barefoot – the Heel Shield will also protect your heel.)

The Heel Shield keeps the shoes of drivers clean and scuff free. The Heel Shield slides comfortably on to the back of your shoe, preventing scuffing and staining and slips easily off. The Shield was designed to protect ladies heels and cowboy boots, men’s dress shoes and cowboy boots, sandals, sling-backs and athletic shoes.  If the heel of the shoe is exceptionally wide or if the heel is offset, the Heel Shield may not fit.

The Heel Shield is a green product.  Recycled plastic is used for the base product.  Additionally special order Heel Shields can be covered in the material of your choice with your company logo across the entire Heel Shield cover.
